Imamzadeh Hossein in Qazvin

The Imamzadeh Hossein (امانزده حسین) in Qazvin (قزویب) is the grave mosque of the two-year-old son of the 8th Imam, who died on a journey to Khorazan in 821. He was buried here, but only centuries later in the 16th century under rule of the safavids the mosque became a center for pilgrimage.

The central building is covered with blue tiles on the out, but already the entrance for men shows mirror mosaics; much more to be seen in the inside. Entrance is only allowed without shoes. For women it is obligatory to wear a chador on the whole complex.
The interior lies in a very nice green light.

The dress may make you think of the middle ages,
but this mullah sure is a contemporary
