Boiling Water in Tibet

Water boils at standard sea level at 100° C. At 12,000 ft (3658 m) it boils at 87.6° C and at 15,000 ft (4572 m) at 84.5° C. You can use dried dung in Tibet for fire or you use quite another method. One can use the energy of the sun. There are already large photovoltaic power plants, but I mean another way of collecting the sun’s heat.

Solar cooking technology consists of a large parabolic cooker, which uses reflectors to concentrate sunlight to a point, where you put the water kettle or the cooking pot. The parabolic reflector might be made of cardboard covered with a reflecting foil like being used to wrap provisions.
