Still Summer

Walking on the moon
Giant leap for mankind and all
An effort in vain

Breeze getting stiffer
Crickets and rain duelling
Unto the lightnings

Fir trees in darkness
No comfort, no fire, no house
Only a chuckoo

August evening
I.S.S. passing above
Crickets keep chirping

Flying with the flock
To pick the ripe, red currants
The white sparrow

Summer blossoms
The dark night covers them all
White scent, however

Summer thunderstorm
After storm and rain have left
Drops keep tumbling down

Freman on the worm
Riding through the desert for spice
And for victory

Ripe persimmons
Not plucked under moon’s sickle
Intimate porch swing

All redcurrants gone
Blackbirds have foraged the shrubs
But their splendid song

Storm driving grey clouds
Headlights with different whites
Colourful bolts, too

The pond in darkness
No duck on the black water
But some lights dancing
