On the soft carpet
Of green moss beneath the trees
So deep blue the sky
The cat with soft paws
Running on the coarse concrete
Soft tea in hard bowl
Winter plays with cold rain
The snow drops don’t feel the cold
Rain drops make them chime
PS.
When I’ve read Chèvrefeuille’s introduction, I felt reminded of Strangelove by Depeche Mode:
Strangelove
Will you give it to me
Will you take the pain
I will give to you
Again and again
And will you return it
And of course of the song Luka
by Susan Vega:
They only hit until you cry
After that you don't
ask why
Snow drops are called Schneeglöckchen in German, literally snow chimes.
Lovely!
