Very Early Summer

A sharp gale
Hitting the tree
New shape

Still rubbing
Every oil lamp
No genie left

Convention center
Hawks use the thermic
And glide away

(already published on Mainichi Shimbun)

At St. Swithun’s Day
No call for a rainmaker
Because of reasons

Cherry blossoms
The excitement has gone
Waiting for cherries

A cloud is
A cloud is a cloud is
Obstructing the moon

(already published on Poets The Original)

The meteorologically and calendrically correct title should be pre-summer, but I opted for very early summer not out of whim but for poetic reasons.
