"Research Explains Why Painkillers Don't Work on Fibromyalgia
ANN ARBOR, MI -- September 27, 2007 -- People who have fibromyalgia often report that they don't respond to the types of medication that relieve other people's pain. New research from the University of Michigan Health System helps to explain why that might be: Patients with fibromyalgia were found to have reduced binding ability of a type of receptor in the brain that is the target of opioid painkiller drugs such as morphine. "

  1. verstehe ich also so, das bei fibromyalgie-patienten opioide nicht "anschlagen", weil bei ihnen bestimmte schmerzrezeptoren im gehirn nur reduziert darauf reagieren. heißt das, dass opioide bei fibromyalgie-patienten nicht wirklich helfen? meine mutter nimmt seit längeren tilidin-tropfen; meist das einzige medikament, das ihr bei ihren akuten schmerzattacken überhaupt noch hilft.
