Autumn approaching

Night falls early now
Lampions still hanging and
Bats hunt anyway

Cool night
Foliage turns red
But the geese still stay

Leaves are turning red
Wild geese getting ready to leave
But crickets still sing

Simmering water
The rice is nearly ready
But the cranes will leave

Rain after midday
Summer is leaving with clouds
Cricket’s autumn song

Scarecrows in moonlight
Watching the wind on the rice
Dancing a tango

Happiness and sadness
In this late summer wine
Birds migrating

.
