Just Spring

Behind daffodils
And a steaming midden heap
Glorious sunrise

Light breeze
Through freshly greened trees
And the gooseflesh

Headlights
Poking into the fragrant
Spring mists

Rays of sunshine
Through dark clouds
Still blossoms fall

Nightfall
The fir trees hide from the
Lonely fire

Flowers grow
Colors into the
Grey morning

Magnolia blossoms
Last night’s frost
A deadly kiss

Black treetops
Tints of the morning
Black crow’s wings

Spring blossoms
And colored prayer flags
Bye-bye winter
