Haiku for National Haiku Writing Month – 17.04.-29.04.2023

National Haiku Writing Month has been  founded by the well known haiku poet Michael Dylan Welch. The goal is to write at least one haiku a day. National Haiku Writing Month is in its 13th year. [1] I enjoy writing to the prompts on Facebook. Here are some interesting links: [2].

[3] Qiwu Qian (
綦毋潛 - Qiwu is the surname; two-syllable surnames are rare in China, often the first name consists of only one character then). He lived from c. 692 to c. 755 or just 749, but all dates are uncertain. There is a laconic article on Wikipedia (Chinese) and a longer one on Baidu (百度百科) that even lists the text of 25 other poems by him, since only one poem appeared in the compilation 300 Poems of the Tang Dynasty.
