Ritual slaughtering of a bull

I've seen a ritual slaughtering in Kathmandu in the midst of the street. It was done as halal/kosher slaughtering is done by dissecting the neck. First you hear the groan, which subsides, as the windpipe is also dissected, and you see the pain, sense it, then the blood gushes to the pavement (part of which is used) to sprinkle on the shrine). Believe me, killing is killing even if people make themselves believe following a ritual would diminish the guilt.
