Carpe Diem Haiku No. 904 Kazahana (snowflakes)

Undecided snowflakes
Gaily dancing to and fro
Melting at window

Winter evening
Snowflakes huddle at the shed
Wind sings them to sleep

Old withered grass stalks
Across the empty marshland
Welcoming snowflakes

  2. I like the thought of the indecisive flakes coming to a grim end on the glass. Lovely trio.

  4. There is something very clever about the phrase 'undecided snowflakes,' and your last haiku has such strong imagery.

  5. I like the playfulness, indecision too, and especially the comforting thought that the "wind sings them to sleep" :)
