Carpe Diem Haiku Hunting (Mayan Mythology)

Wind in the face
Not a sound! The clever prey
Follows the hunter

A soft spring rain
Splattering on the pond’s surface
The koi start singing

“Hunting lizard”
A fly is a fly is a fly
The heavy truck
(inspired by Magical Mystical Teacher)

Mayan paintings
Collected in old codices
Still alive

  1. What a wonderful series of haiku Lothar. I like the one you have written in reaction of the one by MMT. Gorgeous photo by the way ...

  2. "what do you carp about" said the koi
to the salmon, "it's just a ploy
you'll soon be sushi and I'll be alive"
but salmon ate koi and then he dived
