Carpe Diem Haiku Bamboo

Moon passes
Leaving bamboo's shadow
Scratching stone

Night arrived
In the bamboo shadow
Frogs challenging crickets

Yellow bamboo leaves
Twirling down
As evening arrives

Bamboo leaves
Cuddling on the ground
Sweet love

Leaden sky
Wind blows from the bay
Pine and bamboo bowing

Snow on bamboo
Bowing deep
Not broken

Snow on bamboo
Bird just lifted off
Green leaves

Cicadas and birds
Bamboo, pines surround the lake
Rowing boat passes by

Wind brushes over
Rice paddies and bamboo groves
Fluttering butterflies

(The last 5 haiku are older ones.)

  3. you were apparently inspired by this prompt! A wonderful collection of haiku in all seasons ..... A question: does a rheumatologist study colds, or viruses in general?

    1. Thanks! OT: there are some viruses that cause reactive arthritis, so viruses are of interest, but we don't "study" viruses only the effects on the immune system.
