Carpe Diem Haiku No. 893 Fuyusoubi (winter rose)


 

Single red rose
After the sudden frost
Blood on snow

On bare feet through hell
The rose bearer is walking on
Until hitting ground
(人間の條件 / ningen no jōken)

白粉とバラ
芸者は雪に行く
お酒は寒い
White powder and rose
Geisha is walking on snow
But sake still warm



P.S. Last line could also read: O-sake still warm.
P.P.S. Maybe 寒いのお酒 is better.
