Carpe Diem Haiku Caterpillar

Zhuangzi was dreaming
Was he butterfly or man?
Not caterpillar

School’s out for summer
Then cars on the freeway
A caterpillar

    1. Yes! I still have the small (short play) record. I started with school's out and then saw that Alice Cooper already had produced a 5 syllable line. Thanks for noticing!

  2. You might hear some say your first haiku was Lao-Tze.... but I really enjoyed it :)
You have a wonderful way with words Lothar, thank you for sharing with us :)

  3. I'm surprised to hear that the butterfly's dream is attributed to Laozi. The Chinese text puts it to Zhuangzi: 莊周夢為胡蝶 - zhuang zhou (which is Zhuangzi) meng (dream) wei (as) hudie (butterfly). Thanks for the input. That's what haiku should do, giving room for new ideas to rise.
