Cherry Blossoms (桜の花)

The cherry blossom (桜の花) is the national blossom of Japan. It is favoured around the country. Seeing a blooming cherry trees means seeing someone taking a picture. In times not so long ago people would paint cherry blossoms and compose poetry on the beauty of cherry blossoms, mostly haiku.

I cherish cherry blossoms, too. Well, my family name is Kirsch, which means cherry (桜). And one of my haiku on cherry blossoms runs like this:

During spring
Even the cat paints
Cherry blossoms

There are lots of differents cherry blossoms, I've taken a photograph of a leaflet explaining the differents sorts of blossoms.
