Haibun - silence at the forest lake

 

tranquillity ‧ the sun on the lake's ripples ‧ you don't hear anything ‧ in the snow at the edge of the forest a deer disappears, but you saw it and didn't hear it ‧ only silence ‧ a leaf breaks from a branch ‧ silence ‧ leaves on the ground are moving ‧ the wind blows into the silence ‧  a bird wing's flapping ‧ the wind drives through pines and beeches ‧ taciturn nature ‧ the murmur of a brook ‧ your silence ‧ the lettuce in your stomach ‧ the faint can only be heard in silence ‧

the wind
works in the clouds
sweating sky

morning mists
the silence deepens
with a black crow

frozen well
a kid breaks icicles
then silence

swirling leaves
wind in the lonely trees
snuggling in silence

silver lake
moon and cranes passing
in silence

across the lake
all this untold
silence

silence
roaming in the forest
no sound left
