Ich dachte letztens noch, was ist mit den Kranichen in diesem Herbst
los? Ziehen sie denn nicht mehr? Aber da war es auch noch recht warm für
den Herbst. Dann sah ich einige Kraniche, aber östlich vom Dorf und
sonst ziehen doch in großer Zahl über unser Dorf in der Eifel, meist
direkt über mein Haus. Und gestern zogen dann doch einige Hundert
Kraniche über den Ort, aber erst zur blauen Stunde. Heute allerdings sah
ich eine kleinere Gruppe, die kurz vor der Staumauer der Olef-Talsperre
im Kreise flog, um wieder an Höhe zu gewinnen und sich dann wieder
formierte und weiterflog.
I recently thought, what's going on with the cranes this autumn? Don't they migrate anymore? But still it has been quite warm for autumn. Then I saw a few cranes, but to the east of the village, but other times they were migrating in large numbers over our village in the Eifel, mostly directly over my house. And yesterday a few hundred cranes flew over the village, but only at the blue hour. Today, however, I saw a smaller group flying in circles just before the dam wall of the Olef reservoir to regain altitude and then they regrouped and flew on.
