At the Tibetan Butcher’s

At the Butcher's in Lhasa -
probably beef or meat of dzo or dri

I’m a vegetarian, but I also like to go to markets or look at shops, even at the butcher's. You will notice that the meat is out in the open, but with the climate it isn’t swarmed by flies. Though one of the staples is barley, the Tibetans also consume meat. They mostly eat yak, cattle, goats or sheep. They hardly eat chickens as not to kill too many animals.

The market in Shigatse

Probably yak meat

Probably goats or sheep,
where most of the meat has been cut off
and the rest has been dried, maybe salted before

 .
