Carpe Diem Haiku Threnody

Hiroshima’s blaze
The mourning still lasts today
Cherry trees in bloom

Does it ever stop?
Dark melody of threnody
Walk through the tori

Graveyards well hidden
To avoid wailing and mourn
The squirrels’ playground

  1. Wow! What a strong set of haiku Lothar. I can feel the pain of the Japanese people which had such a heavy burden since Hiroshima's blaze. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of haiku.
