In 2016 two of my Haiku were selected by the
late Isamu Hashimoto and then published in the English section of the Mainichi
Shinbun (“The Mainichi”) [1]. After Isamu Hashimoto passed away [2], Mr. Dhugal
J. Lindsay had been assigned to select the daily Haiku. Now the Annual
Selection 2017 has been published [3].
I feel very honoured that three of my own Haiku have been selected:
Clouds
linger
Too misty
to hear
The
temple bell
Let’s
catch
The autumn
storm in jars
And drink
it later
Not
talking
Leaves
are turning yellow
Not
silent
