Still April Haiku 22.04.2020

Warm afternoon
Smell of first mowing
Pool still empty

Old poster
For a new election
To pass by

At the bus stop
Letting each bus pass
And the rain

Wild geese
Still flying high
Talk of home

Fresh cut lawn
Fresh fallen snow
Fresh cat’s prints

Wrinkled beech leaves
And green tips shooting
Scent of honeysuckle

After hibernating
The bear turns around
Springtime fever

Mixing scents
Fresh cut grass and sleet
And sunlight

Budding hedgerow
With a noisy wren
And your scent

Blossoms
Hidden in spring mists
But the fragrance

Plover wading
While tides
Come and go
