Autumn Again - Haiku

„Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;“
Emily Brontë

Autumn foliage
Sun beams still piercing through
And the sound of bells

Every time
Stepping into this river
A new river

Selected by Dhugal J. Lindsay for Mainichi Japan (2018)

Inside
The ritzy hotel’s drawer
Mummies of cockroaches

After sunset
The forest tries hiding from
The camp fire

Snowy sheep clouds
Multi-coloured sunset
Then a vibrant night

Mirror towers
Glaring light
Nine eleven

Wind heaves ivy
Creeping over the green ground
A speck of droppings
