Declining Summer Haiku

Reluctantly the summer goes;
The crimson radiance of the rose

Is ashen in the garden-close.

Clinton Scollard

Summer scorched
Withered leaves
Ready for fall

Cold morning light
Dew drops on the spider's net
Will it return?

Where’s summer?
Behind the window rain
And the pumpkin

Summer gone
Autumn moves swiftly
Where are those skies?

Black velvet night
Rain in thick drops
But cricket chirp chirp

My shadow can’t drink
With the full moon
Attending AA meeting

The loneliness
Of the long distance runner
Worst in the middle

Dew drops
On the spider's net
Flies migrated south

Lost horizon
Entering Shangri-la
Rollator and rocking chair
