In August 2025, I didn't travel through Canada, but rather in Canada, specifically in the east. I visited Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, and Newfoundland. Large parts of the trip were by bus. It included a ferry ride between Sydney and Port aux Basques (Port Louis). I also took boat trips in some places. This, however, is a first approach to my blogposts on places and sights in eastern Canada. The bus trip covered over 3,100 km, and that's a long distance. Occasionally, I took pictures of the screen on the bus, which continuously transmitted images from the front camera. The pictures where taken under differents times of the day and weather conditions. These images are, of course, low-resolution. In addition, the bus shook during the trip, I shot with a telephoto lens, and I also retouched the images twice afterwards. The effect was that these images almost look like they came from a comic strip—an interesting effect that I'd like to share here. Canada is a large country, and I only saw a small part of it. Interestingly, the distance from the easternmost point in Newfoundland to my home [1] is shorter than the distance from that point to Vancouver [2]. This means that Canada is a vast country, and once you've traveled to Canada, you can only see it as the beginning of further journeys.
