Signposts along the Roads of Sikkim

Yes, this is a new picture from Ladakh

I've written about the signpost along the roads of Ladakh. Some show concern, others warn, some are funny, but all in all they make the driver go slower and be alert. Just now, I'm looking at an old travelogue of mine and realize that I've been looking at the signpost along the roads of Sikkim 20 years ago. They're much like the ones in Ladakh and I had totally forgotten the fact.

Here are some of those I've written down then:
„If married, divorce speed“
„Better be late than „the late““

„Life is short, don't make it shorter“

„Smile while you drive“

„Fast drive, fast death“

„Slow drive, long drive“

„Raw haste is the half-sister of death“

„If you want to donate blood, don't do so on NH31A“

„Alert today, alive tomorrow“

„Good drivers get soldom hurt“

„Drive slowly, reach safely“
